In the meeting of the internal committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the head granthi of Damdama Sahib has been given the powers of the jathedar for 15 days in place of Giani Harpreet Singh, the jathedar.
A 3-member committee has also been formed in the meeting to investigate the serious allegations made against Giani Harpreet Singh by Gurpreet Singh, son of Gurdev Singh.

This committee will submit its investigation report to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president Harjinder Singh Dhami within 15 days.
Harmandeep Singh said that opposition member Jaswant Singh Pudain also attended this meeting. He said that no opposition member was included in the committee formed. He demanded that there should be an impartial investigation and that opposition members should also be included in the committee.
