Captain’s action over Burgundy brutality scandal

Chandigarh: Capt government has approached the court against the CBI closure report. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has said that he has taken up the issue of Burgundy himself.

He has written to the CBI about the flaws in his investigation. He said that he was going to court about this so that the state government could investigate the case at its own level.

In this regard, they took the Akalis to the forefront to interfere in the investigation. In an informal conversation with the journalists, the Chief Minister said that during the Burgundy scandal, the then SAD-BJP government had deliberately handed over the sensitive case to the CBI and the agency closed the case without the consent of its owners. In response to a question, Capt Amarinder referred to the 1984 riots and took on SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal to try to manipulate facts about Rajiv Gandhi. He said that Sukhbir was himself in the US at that time, he had no idea what was happening in India at that time.
