Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Virender Kumar Sharma has ordered the deputy magistrate to evacuate the 81 low and flood affected villages of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Phillaur, Nakodar and Shahkot districts. As many as 63 of them are in Shahkot sub division, 13 in Phillaur and five in Nakodar sub division. The villages which have been evacuated as soon as possible. In these villages are Ramsey,

The deputy commissioner said that the district administration was in touch with the AJ, NDR and SDR to deal with any situation. He urged the people living in these villages to go to the safe places immediately.
